Nigeria’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Abdulrahman Dambazau, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing to strengthening economic diplomacy and expanding bilateral trade and investment between Nigeria and China.
Ambassador Dambazau gave the assurance while receiving the Chief Representative of First Bank of Nigeria in Beijing, Mr. Wang Chuanqiang, during a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Beijing.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between the Embassy and First Bank in promoting economic diplomacy, facilitating trade and investment, strengthening financial cooperation, and supporting Nigerian businesses operating in China.
The ambassador stressed the importance of strategic partnerships with financial institutions and other key stakeholders in deepening Nigeria-China economic relations, improving the ease of doing business, and creating greater opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
He noted that closer cooperation between diplomatic missions and financial institutions is critical to advancing Nigeria’s economic development agenda and expanding commercial ties with China.
Ambassador Dambazau also reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to continue working with both public and private sector partners to attract investment, strengthen institutional collaboration, and promote Nigeria’s national interests in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The visit highlighted growing collaboration between Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in China and the financial sector in driving trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.
