The member representing Tarauni Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Kabiru Dahiru Sule, has empowered his constituents with 81 motorcycles as part of efforts to improve livelihoods and promote economic self-reliance.
The empowerment programme, held at the Kano State House of Assembly, attracted government officials, government officials and APC stalwarts from Kano State and beyond.

Speaking at the event, Kabiru Dahiru Sule said the beneficiaries were carefully selected from wards across Tarauni Local Government Area to ensure equitable distribution of the empowerment initiative.
He explained that the programme was designed to enable beneficiaries to establish sustainable means of livelihood while giving constituents the opportunity to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The lawmaker disclosed that an additional 300 women, alongside youths, would benefit from further empowerment packages in the coming weeks.
According to him, thousands of constituents have benefited from various empowerment programmes since he assumed office as the representative of Tarauni Constituency.
Kabiru said he was the first lawmaker in Kano State to commence constituency empowerment immediately after assuming office, adding that although constituency project funds were limited, he had executed projects valued at more than one billion naira.

He listed other interventions to include cash empowerment ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦1 million, as well as the distribution of cars, motorcycles and other incentives aimed at improving the standard of living of constituents.
The lawmaker also said thousands of men, women and youths had benefited from medical outreaches, school interventions and hospital upgrades, while construction of a paediatric hospital in Alu Ward would commence soon.
Kabiru attributed the achievements recorded in Tarauni to the support of the Kano State Government, which, he said, had provided an enabling environment and approved critical development projects in the constituency.
He urged residents of Tarauni to participate actively in the electoral process, expressing confidence that the local government would record strong support for the APC at all levels.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government Area, Ahmed Muhammad Sekure, described the empowerment programme as the beginning of more development initiatives for the people.
He said the APC had demonstrated its commitment to development and called on residents to continue supporting the party.

Other dignitaries who spoke at the occasion included the Tarauni Federal Constituency candidate, Nasiru Jaoji; Kano State Commissioner for Pension, Hajiya Zuwaira, Alhaji Abdullahi; and the SSA KARMA, Abubakar Sabo, among others.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of appointment letters to special advisers and the distribution of 81 motorcycles to selected beneficiaries.
