Yusuf Turaki Muhamamad was born on November 25, 1973, in Kano City, at Kankarofi, Yakasai.
He was raised with strong family and moral values by his father, Alhaji Turaki Muhammadu and his mother, Hajiya Sabuwa Alu Gaya.
At an early age, he moved to Garko to live under the care of his granduncle, Alhaji AbdulQaadir Gaya (Danbaffa), who provided him with excellent guidance and upbringing throughout his formative years.
Turaki began his education with Qur’anic studies, as was customary, before enrolling in formal school. Then, attended Garko Central Primary School for six years, followed by Government Secondary School, Garko (JSS) for three years.
Turaki later proceeded to Science Secondary School, Dawakin Tofa, where he completed his secondary education after another three years.
In 1991, he gained admission to the University of Abuja, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in General Chemistry in 1997.
Upon graduation, he completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program with Berger Paints Nigeria Plc.
After his service year, he was offered permanent employment with Berger Paints Nigeria Plc as a Sales Manager. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks over the course of 16 years, eventually attaining the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at the company’s headquarters in Lagos.
During his tenure at Berger Paints, he had the opportunity to work across several major cities in Nigeria, including Abuja, Kano, Jos, Ilorin, and Lagos, gaining extensive experience in sales management, marketing strategy, and business leadership.
While working at Berger Paints Nigeria Plc, he furthered his education by enrolling in a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at Bayero University, Kano, and later obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry — specializing in Color and Polymer Chemistry from the University of Abuja.
In addition, he attended numerous professional training programs and courses both within Nigeria and abroad, which greatly enhanced his technical and managerial expertise. Alhamdulillah (All praise be to God).
Upon turning 40 years old, he decided to resign from Berger Paints Nigeria Plc to establish his own business — the Flavone Group. Through perseverance, dedication, and divine blessing, the company has continued to grow and prosper. Alhamdulillah.
After the passing of his father Alhaji Turaki Muhammad, the Barden Ringim and District Head of Majia, on June 6, 2006, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ringim, graciously conferred on him the traditional title of “Dan Isan Ringim”, District Head of Majia.
Subsequently, he became elevated in rank and appointed as the “Turakin Ringim”, District Head of Dabi where by the grace of God, he have continued to serve diligently in this capacity till date.
