The Kano State Command of the Vigilante Group has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across communities in the state, with fresh support coming from Saudi-based businessman Sheikh Nuhu Idris Saleh.
During a presentation ceremony at the Vigilante Headquarters in Kano, the State Commander, Ambassador Shehu Rabiu, expressed appreciation to Sheikh Nuhu for his recent donation of vital security tools. Items donated include:
1,000 traditional security sticks (Gora)
500 rechargeable touchlights
4 solar panels
4 batteries
200 waterproof jackets
100 whistles
Ambassador Rabiu noted that the donation would significantly enhance the capacity of vigilante members in carrying out their responsibilities.

“These items will go a long way in assisting our men in discharging their duties effectively.
We also appeal to Sheikh Nuhu to assist us with communication gadgets that will strengthen our security network and improve response time,” the commander said.
He also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other philanthropists for their continuous support, assuring that the vigilante group remains committed to improving security across the state.

The certificate of appreciation was received on behalf of Sheikh Nuhu by veteran journalist and community leader, Ambassador Aliyu Lawan Saulawa, who assured that the donor would consider the command’s request for communication gadgets.
“Security today is a collective responsibility. I assure you that Sheikh Nuhu will, within a few days, provide the requested communication gadgets to further strengthen your operations,” Saulawa said.
He also urged other wealthy individuals in society to emulate Sheikh Nuhu by supporting security initiatives to ensure safer communities.
The event featured the presentation of an appreciation letter and award to the donor, followed by a group photograph with members of the vigilante command.
