The Sumaila Local Government Council has confirmed that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise is progressing smoothly across all designated registration centers within the area.
Executive Chairman of the council, Alhaji Farouk Abdu Sumaila, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and enthusiastic turnout of residents who are actively participating in the voter registration process.

He also commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their dedication in maintaining orderliness and safety at the centers.
In a statement, the council’s Information Officer, Murtala Umar Kawo, assured that the local government remains fully committed to supporting INEC by providing logistics and ensuring that residents are well informed about registration centers and procedures.

The council further appealed to traditional rulers, community leaders, youth and women groups, as well as other stakeholders to mobilize residents and encourage them to take advantage of the ongoing registration before the deadline.
