The Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Dr. Mohammed Bello Shehu, has reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to embracing digital transformation as part of efforts to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of a training programme on the newly introduced Performance Management System (PMS) for staff, Dr. Shehu represented by Ismail Mohammed Agaka, Federal Commissioner representing Kwara State announced that the PMS would replace the outdated annual performance evaluation report.
He explained that automation and digital tools would streamline processes, minimise errors, and make the analogue system a thing of the past. Urging staff to adapt quickly, he stated:
“If you do not shake into the system, the system will likely shake you out.” He further advised participants to embrace a positive mindset and adjust their attitudes to align with the changes expected in the coming months.
Also addressing the gathering, the Secretary to the Commission, Mr. Nwaeze Joseph Okechukwu, described RMAFC as one of the nation’s strategic institutions and stressed that the training would equip officers with new digital skills.
He encouraged participants to “learn, unlearn, and relearn” while upholding standards of punctuality and professional dressing to foster a respectful workplace culture.
Delivering a goodwill message, Mr. Emmanuel Ohiro, PMS Consultant from Reliefline Nigeria Limited, commended the initiative and urged participants to take the workshop seriously, noting that it would significantly improve service delivery.
The training, organised by the Administration and Human Resources Department in collaboration with Reliefline Nigeria Limited, commenced on Tuesday, 16th September 2025, and will run daily until Wednesday, 24th September 2025.
