The Kano State Commissioner for Project Monitoring, Comrade Nura Ma’aji Sumaila, has inspected the ongoing general renovation works at the Kano State Liaison Office in Lagos.
Once a befitting and strategically located structure in Victoria Island, the facility had long served as a key administrative and diplomatic asset for Kano State.
However, it deteriorated significantly after it was sold by the immediate past administration, resulting in the loss of its former prestige and functionality.
The ongoing renovation seeks to restore the building’s value, ensure optimal functionality, and reaffirm Kano State’s presence and interests in Lagos.
According to the Commissioner, the project reflects the current administration’s commitment to recovering public assets and revitalizing critical government infrastructure.
