The Kebbi State Government has called on residents to accord President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a befitting and warm reception during his visit to the state on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The appeal was conveyed in a statement issued in Birnin Kebbi by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Malam Yahaya Sarki.
According to the statement, President Tinubu will embark on a state visit to commission several major, people-oriented projects executed by the administration of Governor Nasir Idris. The President is also expected to attend the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, which opens today.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, urged residents to cooperate fully and demonstrate Kebbi State’s renowned hospitality while hosting national and international dignitaries.
Projects scheduled for commissioning include the Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat Complex, the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, newly constructed township road networks, and the Argungu dual carriageway, among others. The President will subsequently participate in activities marking the cultural festival.
The statement further noted that some roads within Birnin Kebbi metropolis and parts of Argungu would be temporarily closed to facilitate presidential movements in line with security protocols.
Residents were advised to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and courteous throughout the visit in order to project a positive image of the state.
