The National Blood Service Agency NBSA, has joined the global community in commemorating International Nurses Week, recognising the dedication, compassion and invaluable contributions of nurses serving across the Agency and its operational centres nationwide.
The Agency acknowledged the critical role nurses play in strengthening healthcare delivery through donor care, blood collection, counselling, patient support, health education, emergency response and the promotion of safe blood services.
Speaking during the celebration, officials of the Agency commended the nurses for their professionalism, resilience and commitment to saving lives through quality healthcare service delivery.
The event was attended by the Head of Operational Centre, Dr. Ali Waziri, Dr. Titilope, Heads of Departments and other members of staff who gathered to honour and appreciate the efforts of nurses within the Agency.
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, a regular blood donor, praised the nurses and staff of the Agency for their professionalism, kindness and care towards donors.
He expressed appreciation for the warm reception and quality support consistently provided during his visits, describing the nurses as compassionate and dedicated professionals.
In a goodwill message, Stella Shuaibu, Donor Care Manager at the Operational Centre, congratulated nurses across all centres of the Agency and wished them a joyful and fulfilling International Nurses Week celebration.
The Agency reaffirmed its appreciation to nurses for their sacrifices, dedication and unwavering commitment to humanity and lifesaving services.
