Governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State, Prof. Muhammad Sani Bello, has unveiled an ambitious agenda focused on security, economic development, human rights protection, and inclusive governance as consultations intensify ahead of the party’s primary election.
Prof. Bello, a former Kaduna State Commissioner for Education popularly known as the Mainan Zazzau, disclosed his plans during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting of ADC Zone One held at the Dove Event Centre in Sabon Gari Local Government Area.
The meeting brought together leaders from the 87 wards across Kaduna North Zone, alongside party officials, women and youth leaders, and grassroots supporters to deliberate on preparations for the party primaries scheduled for Monday.
Addressing delegates and party faithful, Prof. Bello appealed for support to emerge as the ADC governorship candidate, promising to deliver purposeful and people-oriented leadership if elected.
He said his ambition is driven by the desire to restore public confidence in governance through policies capable of addressing insecurity, unemployment, social welfare challenges, and peaceful coexistence across Kaduna State.
According to him, his administration would prioritize the protection of lives and property, strengthen community relations, safeguard human rights, and create opportunities that would improve the welfare of ordinary citizens.
“My mission is to ensure Kaduna State experiences meaningful progress where people can live peacefully, enjoy their rights, and have access to opportunities that improve their daily lives,” Prof. Bello stated.
The governorship hopeful also assured party members that the ADC primary election would be conducted peacefully and transparently, adding that necessary arrangements had already been concluded by relevant party committees for a successful exercise.
Prof. Bello expressed optimism about emerging victorious at the primaries, citing growing support from party leaders and grassroots members across the state.
Earlier, the Director-General of the campaign organization and former Kaduna State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Aliyu Makarfi, called on party members to remain united and committed to ensuring the success of the ADC in the forthcoming elections.
He described Prof. Bello as a candidate with the experience, vision, and grassroots connection required to reposition Kaduna State for sustainable growth and development.
Special prayers were also offered for the success of the aspirant and the peaceful conduct of the primaries by Islamic cleric, Sheikh Surajo Bomo.
The ADC primaries scheduled for Monday are expected to produce candidates for the offices of President, Governor, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
