Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited says it will introduce Islamic investment products in Kano to expand access to Shariah-compliant investment opportunities in the state.
The Head of the company’s Kano Office, Kabir Ibrahim, disclosed this on the sidelines of an investment awareness roadshow organised by Afrinvest in Kano.
He said the Islamic investment products and estate planning services would be offered through the Afrinvest Halal Fund.
According to him, the initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, efforts to provide ethical wealth solutions to members of the public.
Ibrahim explained that the roadshow was aimed at creating awareness about ethical investment opportunities and enabling residents to participate in the capital market without compromising their values.
He said the programme was also designed to sensitise residents to various investment instruments and how they could generate returns from their investments.
The Head of Afrinvest Kano Office said the company had been operating for 30 years, with a presence in Kano for the past two years.
Ibrahim explained that Afrinvest is a capital market holding company with operations covering different areas of the financial market.
He said the company has about seven subsidiaries, including Afrinvest Asset Management, Afrinvest Securities, Afrinvest Trustees and Afrinvest Consulting.
The official added that the company also has a subsidiary that assists organisations in raising capital, while its microfinance arm is currently under development.
He urged members of the public to explore investment opportunities that suit their financial needs and seek professional advice before making investment decisions.
Ibrahim said residents interested in Shariah-compliant investment options could access the company’s Islamic products, including the Halal Fund and Estate Planning Services.
