The Kebbi State Police Command has presented insurance benefit cheques totaling N11,400,252.35 to 18 beneficiaries who are next-of-kin of deceased police officers.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He said the payment was made under the Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Schemes, in line with the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the welfare of families of deceased personnel.

The cheques were presented by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Umar Hadejia, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
According to the statement, the Commissioner said the gesture demonstrated the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police and the Force Management Team to supporting police officers and their families.
He added that the service and contributions of the deceased officers to the nation remained deeply appreciated.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the assistance.
They described the payment as a demonstration of the Police Force’s continued concern for the families of officers who lost their lives in service to the nation.
