The Kano State Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with the Forum of Public Relations Practitioners in Tertiary Institutions to promote the government’s efforts in bringing positive developments to the education sector.
This announcement was made by the State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, during a courtesy visit from the executive members of the forum.
Comrade Waiya emphasized the importance of Public Relations Officers (PROs) intensifying their efforts to communicate these initiatives effectively.overnment interventions in Higher education.
He stated that the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has made significant strides in the education sector generally, such interventions according to Waiya include facilitating the successful conduct of accreditation of courses, renovation, reconstruction works, execution of new projects, and improvement in staff welfare.
He assured the Forum that the Ministry would provide all necessary support to achieve their set goals.
Earlier speaking, Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi Arzai, explained that the Forum was established to provide a common platform for all Public Relations Practitioners in Kano State Tertiary Institutions to tackle common issues. Similarly, members of the Forum will be opportuned to build their capacity in order to enhance their professionalism.
While expressing the Forum’s appreciation with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s intervention in Higher education, Comrade Arzai assured of Forum’s commitment to showcase such to the public.He noted that with more support from government and the managements of Tertiary Institutions in the state to enable members perform better.
He urged for closer report with the Ministry of Information to meet the desired objectives.
