The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, his family, and the people of Kaduna State over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma Ahmad El-Rufai.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.
Rt. Hon. Falgore described her death as a profound and irreparable loss, noting that she embodied discipline, integrity, love, and sacrifice—values that form the foundation of a strong and admirable family.
“It is with deep sorrow that we reflect on the passing of a mother whose warmth touched many lives and who raised an exceptional individual. Kindly take solace in the fact that she lived a meaningful life and left behind enduring values and memories that will continue to guide and comfort the entire family,” the statement read.
“On behalf of all honourable members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I sincerely extend our deepest condolences to Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai and his family. Mama Umma was a woman of courage and outstanding qualities whose life will remain a source of inspiration to many,” Falgore stated.
He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and gives her loved ones the strength to bear the great loss.
