FALGORE: THE PRIDE THAT SILENCES DETRACTORS

Speaker Kano House of Assembly Jibril Ismail Falgore

In recent days, we have observed a few hired contractors, who have little or no understanding of the issues they speak about, making baseless and unfounded allegations.

They appear to have lost their sense of direction, and it is evident that their actions are driven by envy and malice, aimed at diminishing the honour and dignity bestowed upon Falgore by Almighty Allah.

Whether they like it or not, Falgore’s light has shone and continues to illuminate Rogo Local Government Area and Kano State at large.

If you seek a true leader who is courageous, loyal and faithful to his social contract with the people, then look no further than the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Jibril Isma’il Falgore.

Falgore is a young, charismatic and patient political leader who will continue to unsettle his political adversaries. The future belongs to those who prepare for it, and envy directed at the blessed is futile.

    Isa Kaita College

As Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, he has every right and privilege to express his views on any matter. And concerning every word he utters, we ask: Is it not the truth? He did them good, and they reciprocated with good. Is that a crime? If it is, let it be stated clearly. It is important that those peddling baseless rumours take time to understand how things work.

Anyone who throws pebbles at us because of Falgore should be prepared for a response with a hammer.

For those who engage in idle talk and gossip about him, it is time for the people of Rogo and Kano to examine who they really are. What is their integrity? What is their worth? How does the public perceive them? And what weight do they carry when placed on the scale of honour and credibility? Understanding these questions will help discerning members of the public appreciate their true motives.

It is clear that those who continue to roam the streets and display rascality on social media believe their actions will sabotage the administration of the Rt. Hon. Speaker. However, they are too late, for he who wakes up before you will always rise before you.

Falgore is a brave leader, an astute and knowledgeable legislator, and a master of the art of governance. Under his leadership, the Assembly has witnessed tremendous progress, including the enactment of numerous laws that have informed government policies, the execution of developmental projects in Rogo and Karaye, the construction of the new Kano State House of Assembly complex, and improvements in the welfare and salary structure of Assembly staff. These achievements have earned him awards and commendations from various quarters across the state.

Falgore has received awards of honour both within and outside Nigeria. These include the recent recognition by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), which named him the Most Impactful Speaker in Nigeria and a Champion of Staff Welfare in the Legislature.

Whether we agree or not, Falgore will continue to play a pivotal role in the politics of Rogo Local Government Area and Kano State in general.

Our advice to these political jobbers is that they must understand, even though they may already know, that hatred and envy should not prevent them from acknowledging the truth: when the sun has risen, the palm tree cannot block its rays.

Those who engage in vain and frivolous criticism are increasingly being perceived by respectable members of society as directionless individuals. Our counsel to them is to exercise caution, as people are watching. Political praise-singing and blackmail did not begin with them, and they should reflect on the fate of those who engaged in such practices before them.

Therefore, they must choose either to retrace their steps or allow the world to teach them a lesson. Ultimately, it is left for the dyer to do what is right.

Falgore, continue with your good work. The people of Rogo are aware of you, Kano State is aware of you, and we are confident that Allah, who created you, is also aware of you.

Forward ever, Rt. Hon. Speaker Jibril Isma’il Falgore, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly.
