In an effort to revitalize agriculture and ensure food security, the Caretaker Chairman of Gaya Local Government, Alhaji Abubakar Jazuli Usman, has launched an initiative to provide high-quality seeds to farmers.
Represented by the deputy chairman Alhaji Mudi Hassan Gaya, he emphasized the importance of agriculture to the local economy and the need to support farmers with essential inputs like seeds.
He assured the farmers of the local government’s commitment to their well-being and success.
Abubakar maintained that this initiative is part of the Kano state government’s efforts to make Kano a hub for agricultural excellence.
The chairman added that
“ the Kano state government is committed to supporting our farmers and ensuring their success that they have access to the resources they need to thrive”
Speaking the Head of Agricultural department Dr Musa Isyaku Gude said the seeds distribution is expected to reach hundreds of farmers across the area and will focus on providing seeds for key crops such as Rice Seed, Soyabeans among others.
On his part, the Director Personal Management Gaya LGA Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna Bichi said the seed distribution exercise is a testament to the Kano state government’s dedication to the welfare of farmers and the overall development of the area.
Some of the Farmers who benefited from the exercise expressed their gratitude to the Kano State government and the local government for the timely support.
