The Africa Health Tech Summit AHTS 2024 is currently taking place at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda from October 29-31, 2024.
This year’s summit has attracted a large audience of 2,800 participants from across the continent and beyond, all gathered to discuss transformative healthcare in Africa.
Some of the key topics being discussed at the summit include the future of health technology, innovative solutions, and strategic collaborations to enhance healthcare delivery in Africa.
The Rwandan Minister of Health, Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, emphasized the importance of partnerships in driving healthcare innovation, while the European Union ambassador to Rwanda, Mrs. Belen Calvo, pledged support for Africa to address epidemics.
The ”director General of Africa CDC, Doctor Jean Kaseya, highlighted the need for intervention in climate change, connectivity, and youth engagement to address health challenges in Africa.
The summit aims to leverage technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and drones to tackle Africa’s most pressing health challenges.
The African Media Network for the Promotion of Health and Environment (REMAPSEN) is part of the summit where leaders from the fields of health, technology and policymakers explore how emerging technologies can be harnessed to build resilience and improve resilience, health systems and individual well-being in African communities.
The 3rd edition of the Africa Healthtech Summit AHTS 2024 is themed “Innovating for community health by unleashing the power of Artificial Intelligence”
