In today’s globally connected environment, the proliferation of misinformation has become a potent weapon wielded by adversaries to sow chaos, manipulate facts, and shape public opinion.

These individuals exploit opportunities to fabricate narratives, crafting counterfeit stories with the sole aim of deception, often mimicking truth to mislead the public.

It is regrettable that such individuals fail to verify credible information about the administration of Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Instead, they resort to manipulation and falsification of his achievements, undermining the character of Abba Gida Gida.

Those familiar with Kano’s political landscape will undoubtedly attest to his critical role in shaping the state, both politically and economically.

Even his adversaries acknowledge his pivotal contributions in transforming Kano into a strategic construction hub.

His strategic acumen and ability to turn vision into tangible outcomes have positioned Kano as a beacon of development and prosperity, setting an unprecedented benchmark in Nigerian governance.

Governance is not about personal gain, says Kano Governor Yusuf

It’s only a matter of time before the truth distinguishes the real masters of service from the rest. The signs are already etched on the horizon for all to witness.

From the lower courts to the Supreme Court, despite strong opposition and attempts to distort reality, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has remained resolute in addressing Kano’s challenges head-on. His determination is unwavering.

While some remain skeptical, the evidence is clear. His Excellency has received numerous awards in recognition of his leadership from Best Performing Governor in Education in Nigeria to accolades in good governance, youth and women empowerment, and human capital development across Africa.

Under his leadership, Kano State has exceeded the UNESCO benchmark and ranked first nationwide in the 2025 Council Examination.

    His achievements span across sectors:

    – Improved healthcare delivery and medical equipment
    – Massive road construction, including high bridges in urban and rural areas
    – Settlement of outstanding pension liabilities
    – Provision of potable water through boreholes in all 44 local governments
    – Rehabilitation of technical and science colleges
    – Renovation of classrooms and boarding school feeding programs
    – Overhaul of government agencies and ministries
    – Installation of solar-powered street lights across the state
    – Procurement of modern sanitation equipment
    – Creation of new agencies like KASIDTDA and the Ministry of Livestock Development
    – Recruitment of over 4,000 staff in the Ministry of Agriculture and more than 4,000 teachers
    – Active youth involvement in governance
    – Just recently, based on the data released by National Bureau of Statistics shows Kano State doubles IGR while emerging among Nigeria’s fastest growing revenue states in 2024.

This represents one of the most comprehensive sectoral commitments to good governance in recent history.

In his sustained drive for transparency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed all political office holders to declare their assets with the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) a clear demonstration of integrity and accountability in public service.

The political atmosphere in Kano is shifting. Massive defections are reshaping the landscape. People are rallying behind Abba Gida Gida’s administration because they crave justice, fairness, and development, values that define the Kwankwasiyya ideology.

Thousands join the movement daily. As the saying goes, “Everything happens for a reason.” And as American writer Laura Ingalls Wilder once said, “If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it.”

These sterling records reflect the legacy of Abba Gida Gida. His impact will continue to shape Kano’s narrative for years to come. Whether within the bounds of his current tenure or in future roles of greater responsibility, state or national, his leadership qualities remain undeniable.

As the political winds shift and the people rally behind justice, fairness, and development, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf stands tall as a symbol of integrity and service.

May Almighty Allah continue to grant him wisdom and strength to meet the aspirations of the people, as he carries the torch of good governance with unwavering dedication.

Indeed, the journey ahead looks promising. And wherever duty calls, the people of Kano and Nigeria at large, know they have in him a leader who delivers.
