Former Senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo, has surrendered to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja following allegations that he raped a 13-year-old secondary school student.
The parents of the victim told journalists that politicians from Adamawa State, visited their home to plead with them not to disclose the scandal.

They also alleged that Abbo had sent money to the girl’s father multiple times in what they described as attempts to suppress the matter.

As of press time, the former lawmaker remained in custody at the FCID.
This is not Abbo’s first brush with controversy. In 2019, he was arrested after a viral video showed him assaulting a woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja. More recently, he faced allegations of blackmail involving a married woman and an alleged sex tape.

According to family sources, the latest alleged assault took place on June 29, 2025, at Abbo’s residence in Katampe, Abuja.
