Isa Haladu, the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics at the Kano State Ministry of Health, has been appointed as the new government co-chair of the Kano State Accountability Mechanism (KanSLAM).
This development is expected to bring more development and opportunities for the SLAM, according to Safiyanu Bichi, a member of KanSLAM.

Haladu expressed his delight in taking on this new role and acknowledged sharing the notification with the Kano Commissioner of Health, Dr. Labaran Yusuf.

He’s optimistic that his co-chairmanship will facilitate continued good work by KanSLAM, which has contributed to the establishment of various health agencies in Kano State, including the Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) and the Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND
