The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the successful movement of its pilgrims to Mina, Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of the Hajj exercise.
Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, the Head of Media Team for Kano State Pilgrims and also the Deputy Governor’s Spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement circulated to journalists on Friday.

According to Ibrahim, the relocation began on Thursday night, with the deployment of all the pilgrims, after securing their comfortable camps at Mina.
The Amirul Hajj of the State who is the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Jibril Falgore,members of the state House of Assembly,Head of Service Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, is among those who arrived at Mina camp.
He further explained that Alhaji Kabir Muhammad Panda, Director operations of the board said kits for each pilgrim, including soap, mats, Maclean, toothpaste, and other necessities have been provided at the tents.
“To ensure security and organization, only pilgrims with ID cards issued by the board will be allowed into the Kano pilgrims’ tent” apart from the NUSUK identity card’ Panda said.
According to him, the team deployed at Muna, comprising preachers, medical personnel and welfare guides, as well as members of the security committee.
He further added that the advance team will proceed to Arafat by midnight of Friday to make similar arrangements that will facilitate a seamless operation.
Also, the Deputy Commandant General of Hisbah women wing, Dr Khadija Sulaiman was seen busy arranging women in an orderly manner inside the Mina camp.
The arrival of pilgrims In Mina is a significant milestone in the Hajj pilgrimage, which attracts millions of Muslims from around the world annually.
Mina transforms into a vast tent city, offering temporary accommodation, medical care, food, water, and other essential services.
During their stay in Mina, pilgrims will perform various prayers, including Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr, following the example of the Prophet.
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has assured a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience for all pilgrims.
