A devastating auto crash occurred on the Kano-Maiduguri Road, under the Muhammadu Buhari Interchange Flyover, Hotoro, resulting in the loss of 23 lives and injuring 48 others.
The accident involved a trailer carrying goods and passengers, which lost control due to overspeeding and crashed under the bridge.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) quickly responded to the scene, rescuing the victims and rushing the injured to the hospital.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Umar Matazu, warned drivers against overloading trailers, emphasizing the increased risk of fatal crashes.
The commission has cleared the obstruction and restored traffic flow, while urging motorists to adhere to traffic regulations to prevent further loss of lives.
