Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the payment of ₦63.65 million in registration fees for 67 indigenes of the state undergoing legal training at the Nigerian Law School for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The approval was contained in a statement signed by the Kebbi State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Junaidu Bello Marshal, SAN, and issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.
According to the statement, each of the 67 beneficiaries will receive ₦950,000 to cover their registration fees, bringing the total amount approved to ₦63,650,000.

Professor Marshal said the gesture was part of Governor Idris’ administration’s support for Kebbi indigenes pursuing legal education and its effort to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder their professional development.
The Attorney-General appreciated the governor for his continued support for law students and the Ministry of Justice, saying the intervention would ease the financial burden on the beneficiaries and allow them to concentrate on their studies and professional training.

He noted that the state government had also paid tuition and registration fees for Kebbi indigenes attending the Nigerian Law School in 2024 and 2025.
The latest approval, he said, further demonstrates the government’s support for legal education and the development of future legal practitioners from Kebbi State.
