As part of efforts to strengthen transparency and accountability in public projects, the Kano State Ministry for Public Procurement, Project Monitoring, and Evaluation has inspected no fewer than 90 Community Re-Orientation Committee (CRC) project sites across 18 local government areas (LGAs) in the state.
The Special Monitoring Tour, which is still ongoing, aims to assess the implementation and quality of CRC School Renovation Projects across all 44 LGAs in Kano State.

The CRC School Renovation Project is a flagship initiative of the Kano State Government, introduced under the leadership of Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Speaking during the inspection, the Commissioner for Public Procurement, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Comrade Nura Ma’aji Sumaila, disclosed that the exercise aims to evaluate CRC performance and assess the status of ongoing works across the visited sites.
“So far, the monitoring team has visited project sites in Sumaila, Albasu, Takai, Nassarawa, Tarauni, Dala, Dambatta, Makoda, and Tsanyawa.Other LGAs covered include Rano, Kibiya, Bunkure, Dawakin Tofa, Bichi, Gezawa, Gabasawa, and Gwale”
Ondo Assembly Partners PROMAD to Track Public Projects
He pointed out that, the first phase of the project focuses on renovating a minimum of five basic schools in each local government area to enhance learning environments and improve access to quality education.
According to him, preparations for the second phase of the initiative are already underway following the Governor’s formal approval.
