The Senate has expressed satisfaction with the calibre of people being appointed by President Bola Tinubu to manage key sectors of the economy, for improved productivity, revenue generation and efficiency across board.

At the screening of the recently appointed Chairman and executive commissioners for the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, the senate committee on Petroleum, Upstream, asked the appointees to be innovative as regulators to enable Nigeria maximally benefit as a major player in the industry.

Those appointed are Senator Magnus Abe, as Chairman, while Sunday Babalola and Paul Yaro are to serve as non Executive commissioners of the NUPRC.

Meanwhile Senate has approved the release of 1.75 trillion naira 2025 budget for the Niger Delta Development Commission, covering capital, personnel and overhead cost and for the execution of development projects in the region.
