Sani Dutsinma
Members of the Class of 1985 of Yandaka Primary School, Dutsinma, Katsina State, have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting government efforts aimed at improving the standard of education in the state.
The assurance was given during the group’s first annual meeting held at Yandaka Primary School in Dutsinma.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the association, Alhaji Sirajo Abba Jaye Dutsinma, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hajiya Uwani Dankawu, said the meeting was organized to revive the bond among former classmates and explore ways of assisting their alma mater with teaching and learning materials.
She noted that the time had come for members to contribute meaningfully to the development of education by supporting their former school and promoting the welfare of fellow members.
According to her, the initiative would not only help improve the learning environment in the school but also strengthen relationships among members who had not met for many years.
Hajiya Uwani commended members for their commitment and contributions towards the success of the gathering and urged them to sustain the momentum in order to achieve the union’s objectives.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the association, Malam Umar Bishir Nu’uman, expressed gratitude to Allah for bringing members together under a common platform and encouraged other former classmates to join the group for the advancement of unity and development.
He called on financially capable members to support the union’s activities and assist less privileged members in order to improve their living conditions and promote mutual support within the group.
Members at the meeting also offered suggestions and recommendations aimed at strengthening the association and ensuring its long-term success.
