President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the new Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja.
SHESTCO is tasked with conducting research and development in technology, including the management and operation of Nigeria’s nuclear research facility.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the appointments in a statement.
In a separate appointment, Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael has been named the Managing Director/CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
The President also announced the appointment of other NEMSA board members to strengthen the agency’s technical and regional representation. The appointees include: Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez (Executive Director, Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu (Chairman, South East); Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris (Member); Igba Elizabeth (Member, North Central); Sani Alhaji Shehu (Member, North East); Adeyemi Adetunji (Member, South West); Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (Member, South South); and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (Member, South East).
In addition, President Tinubu nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna, as Commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). The nominations have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.
The appointments are part of the administration’s broader efforts to strengthen key governance, technology, and energy institutions in Nigeria.
