The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has stepped up efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient pilgrimage process, as it continues the issuance of yellow cards to intending pilgrims ahead of the Hajj exercise.
Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this after a courtesy visit to the Port Health Services Office in Kano.
Speaking to journalists, Matawalle said the Board has made adequate arrangements to ensure that this year’s yellow card processing is seamless and better organized compared to previous exercises. He explained that the Board’s engagement with Port Health Services is aimed at eliminating delays and ensuring that all pilgrims are properly processed without stress.
According to him, the Board remains committed to providing efficient and timely services to all intending pilgrims, adding that necessary strategies have been put in place to achieve a hitch-free exercise.
Earlier, the Kano State Coordinator of Port Health Services, Mr. Patrick Achenneje, described the visit as timely and significant. He commended the Board for its proactive approach and assured of full cooperation from his office to ensure smooth processing of the yellow cards.
The Board, therefore, urged all intending pilgrims to cooperate with officials and comply with all required procedures to facilitate a successful and stress-free process.
