The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, in collaboration with Pathfinder International and Impact Catalysts, has conducted a quarterly review meeting on the implementation of the Task Shifting and Task Sharing (TSTS) programme in Kano State.
The meeting focused on strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, improving data quality, and enhancing overall performance of the programme across local government areas.

According to stakeholders, the review aimed to assess the current status of TSTS implementation, identify strengths and gaps, and highlight priority areas for improvement at the LGA level.

Participants also examined the use of digital reporting tools, including the Open Data Kit (ODK), with emphasis on improving efficiency in data collection and reporting processes.
In addition, the session addressed challenges affecting the District Health Information System (DHIS2), including reporting bottlenecks and data quality concerns that impact health planning and decision-making.

Officials noted that the review provided an opportunity to develop practical solutions to implementation challenges while strengthening coordination between state and local health teams, development partners, and civil society organisations.
Stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Kano through better data management, stronger accountability systems, and more effective use of digital health tools.
