The newly appointed Managing Director of the Kano State Zoological and Wildlife Management Agency (KAZOWMA), Hon. Musayyib Kawu Ungogo, has expressed gratitude to the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the confidence reposed in him through his appointment.
Hon. Musayyib also congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his recent political development and called on the people of Kano State to obtain and renew their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in support of the Governor’s re-election bid, to enable him sustain efforts aimed at uplifting the state’s development standards.

In his inaugural address, the Managing Director pledged to dedicate his best efforts toward repositioning the agency.
He outlined plans to upgrade facilities at the Kano Zoological Garden, renovate existing infrastructure, introduce new animal species, and prioritise staff welfare to improve overall service delivery.
Hon. Musayyib further assured that he would compile the immediate and long-term needs of the agency and present them to the Governor, with the aim of enhancing the zoo’s appeal as a major tourist destination in the state.

Shortly after assuming office, the Managing Director, accompanied by directors of the agency and other staff members, embarked on an inspection tour of the zoo to assess areas requiring urgent attention and renovation.
