Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State held a comprehensive meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,to discuss key security, infrastructure, and development priorities for the state.
Governor Sani briefed the President on the safe return of worshippers abducted from churches in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area, on January 18, 2026.
He highlighted the intelligence-driven operations conducted through close collaboration between state and federal security agencies, which resulted in the successful rescue of all victims.
The Governor noted that the outcome underscored the strength of coordinated leadership, institutional synergy, and the professionalism of Nigeria’s national security architecture.
Expressing gratitude, Governor Sani commended President Tinubu for his personal calls to the affected families during the two-week ordeal, describing the President’s outreach as deeply reassuring to both the victims’ families and the wider Kaduna community.
Beyond security matters, the meeting focused on key developmental and infrastructural projects essential for Kaduna State’s growth.
Governor Sani highlighted the commencement of the long-awaited Birnin Gwari road project, describing it as transformative for security, economic opportunities, and connectivity for previously isolated communities.
The discussion also covered the urgent rehabilitation of the Kaduna Eastern Bypass, the Jere–Kwoi–Kafanchan road, and the Zaria–Pambegua–Saminaka road, which are vital for regional mobility and economic integration.
Governor Sani expressed profound appreciation for the President’s consistent support for Kaduna State and the Federal Government’s partnership in enhancing security and accelerating development.
He also paid tribute to the dedication and professionalism of security personnel whose efforts ensured the safe return of the abducted worshippers.
