The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) is set to host Nigeria’s first Community-Centred Connectivity (CCC) capacity-building bootcamp from September 28 to October 2 in Abuja. The five-day programme will bring together 20 representatives of existing and emerging community-centred connectivity initiatives from across the country to strengthen locally driven efforts to expand digital inclusion. The Benue State Primary Health Care Board, BNSPHCB, in partnership with UNICEF, has continued a three-day capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening preventive nutrition services across the state. A student of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN, Kano, Abdulkadir Basri, is set to attempt a 120-hour continuous sewing marathon in a bid to set a Guinness World Record. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has linked a woman and two workers of a Gwarimpa guest house to the dumping of the body of a man found under the Katampe Bridge, Abuja. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd., has welcomed the $800 million Final Investment Decision, FID, on the Ima Gas Project, describing it as a significant development for Nigeria’s upstream gas sector. The project, located offshore in Oil Mining Leases, OMLs, 112 and 117, is being developed by AMNI International in partnership with TotalEnergies. A United States woman, Patricia Stallings, was wrongfully convicted of murdering her three-month-old son after a laboratory test mistakenly indicated that the child had been poisoned with antifreeze. The case began in July 1989, when Stallings’ son, Ryan, suddenly became seriously ill and was taken to hospital. Blood tests reportedly showed elevated levels of ethylene glycol, the toxic substance commonly found in antifreeze.
