Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has suffered a devastating double tragedy within 24 hours.
Just a day after losing his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, who passed away on Wednesday, his eldest son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi died in an accident on Thursday.

Kano Assembly Speaker Mourns Jigawa Governor’s Mother
The accident occurred around 3 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Agura village, near Kafin Hausa town, the governor’s hometown.

Abdulwahab and his friend were traveling to Kafin Hausa to receive condolences over the death of his grandmother when the accident happened.
The chief press secretary to the state governor, Comrade Muhammad Hamisu Gumel, confirmed the incident and announced that Abdulwahab’s corpse was taken for burial according to Islamic rites.
