The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kaduna Area Command, has commissioned a renovated Senior Officers’ Mess at the Kabala Doki Customs Barracks, Kaduna, in a move aimed at improving officers’ welfare and boosting operational morale.

According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Customs Dauda Adamu, the renovated Mess is equipped to provide a conducive environment for official engagements, fitness activities, and social interaction among senior officers.
Speaking at the event, ACG Nsika Umoh commended the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Kaduna Area Command, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, and his management team for their initiative and prudent use of resources in executing the project.
She said the renovation aligns with the reform agenda of the Comptroller-General of Customs, which prioritises improved working conditions, professionalism, and discipline to enhance revenue generation, trade facilitation, and border security.
ACG Umoh urged officers to maintain the facility, stressing the importance of discipline and responsibility in preserving the standard of the Mess. “You have been given a responsibility to manage this place, and I hope that when we return next year, it will still be at this standard,” she said.
In his remarks, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan expressed appreciation to the Zonal Coordinator, ACG Nsika Umoh, ACG Idriss Abba-Aji, and other senior officers present for their support. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to projects that improve officers’ welfare and operational efficiency.
