The Kano State Hisbah Board has organised a one-day capacity-building seminar for members of its Female Provost Unit, aimed at enhancing their skills and improving the effectiveness of their daily operations.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Commandant for Female Matters, Dr. Khadija Sagir Sulaiman, represented by Malama Fatima Ahmad Tsakuwa, described the Female Provost Unit as one of the most critical arms of the Hisbah Board.
She noted that the unit plays a vital role in care, discipline, and the effective implementation of the board’s mandate across the state.
Malama Tsakuwa explained that the seminar began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the submission of monthly reports and deliberations on key activities of the unit.
According to her, the Qur’anic recitation was intended to seek Allah’s protection and blessings for Kano State and the nation at large.
She also appealed to members of the public to continue offering prayers for divine guidance and protection, particularly in addressing the challenges confronting society.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Malama Fatima Ahmad Tsakuwa urged members of the Female Provost Unit to apply the knowledge and lessons acquired during the training in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Our correspondent, Jamila Sulaiman Aliyu, reports that the Kano State Hisbah Board has reiterated its commitment to continuous training and empowerment of female provost members to enhance their overall performance.
