A new political support group, the Tinubu-Uba Grassroots Women Movement (Continuity 2027), has been officially launched in Kaduna State, with a focus on strengthening women’s participation in grassroots politics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement was inaugurated by its Founder and Director General,member representing Lere constituency,Kaduna house of Assembly, Hon. Munira Tanimu, who described the initiative as a strategic platform to mobilize and empower women across the state in support of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to her, the movement aims to build a strong and inclusive network of women committed to sustainable development and political continuity under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
She noted that the initiative would mobilize women across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state, aligning with the administration’s grassroots development agenda while promoting unity and active civic engagement.
“This is more than a movement; it is a mission to empower women, strengthen grassroots structures, and ensure continuity beyond 2027,” Tanimu said.
The event attracted key political stakeholders, including the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, who officially inaugurated the movement’s grassroots women leaders and leadership structure.
Also in attendance were the APC Women Leader in Kaduna State and the State Commissioner for Youths, whose presence underscored broad party support for the initiative.
As part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency, Tanimu announced the donation of vehicles to the APC Women Leader in the state, the Tinubu-Uba Grassroots Women Movement, and the City Boy Movement (Women Wing), Kaduna State, to improve mobility and coordination at the grassroots level.
The launch marks a significant step in efforts to galvanize women’s political participation and consolidate support for the APC ahead of the next electoral cycle.
