The Faculty of Law, Northwest University Kano, has organised a distinguished lecture on peace, leadership and nation building as part of efforts to promote intellectual discourse and responsible leadership among students and members of the university community.
The event, was organised through the International Humanitarian Law Society and featured an Award of Excellence ceremony.
The gathering brought together members of the legal profession, academics, university management, staff and students to discuss the role of peace, visionary leadership and collective responsibility in national development.
The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, served as the Royal Father of the Day.
The Distinguished Guest Lecturer was the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Hon. Sunday Akin Dare, while the Vice-Chancellor of Northwest University Kano, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, was the Special Guest of Honour.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor A. J. Sulaiman, served as Chief Host, while the Founder of Philove Humanitarian Support Foundation, Loveth Philips, attended as a guest.
The lecture provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas on peacebuilding, leadership and sustainable national development.
The accompanying Award of Excellence ceremony also recognised individuals for their contributions and commitment to initiatives aimed at promoting positive change in society.
The Faculty of Law appreciated the distinguished guests, staff, students and members of the university community for their participation in the event.
