The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Kano has announced the resumption of the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, INEC said the exercise resumed today, January 5, 2026, and is taking place at all 44 INEC Local Government Area offices, as well as the State Headquarters office.
The commission encouraged all eligible citizens who have attained the age of 18 to take advantage of the exercise to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
INEC also advised individuals seeking to correct errors in their registration details or replace lost, damaged, or defaced voter cards to visit any INEC office to update their records.
The commission urged members of the public to seize the opportunity to ensure their names are included in the voters’ register ahead of future elections.
