The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, has extended warm Eid Al-Adha greetings to Muslims in Kano State and across the world as they celebrate the sacred Islamic festival.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Speaker described Eid Al-Adha as a period of reflection, compassion, solidarity, and generosity.
According to Falgore, the festival serves as a reminder of the universal values that unite humanity, including empathy, mutual care, sacrifice, and respect for human dignity.
He also noted that the season coincides with the annual Hajj pilgrimage, where millions of Muslims from different parts of the world gather in the Holy Land in a profound spiritual journey symbolising unity, devotion, humility, and equality among people from all walks of life.
The Speaker further emphasised that Eid Al-Adha is a time to support the poor and vulnerable, reflecting the spirit of compassion and generosity that lies at the heart of the celebration.
“On behalf of the members of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend heartfelt greetings to Muslims. May this Eid Al-Adha inspire renewed hope, peace, and solidarity,” Falgore stated.
He also wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, saying, “Happy Eid Mubarak.”
