The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano State Council, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday by the Acting Secretary of the Council, Hauwa S. Zahradeen, the union highlighted the spiritual importance of the festival and called on Muslims to uphold the values of faith, sacrifice, and devotion.

The Acting Chairman of the Council, Comrade Mustafa Gambo Muhammad, described Eid al-Adha as a sacred period for reflection, renewal of faith, and strengthening devotion to Almighty Allah (S.W.T.).
He urged Muslims to emulate the virtues and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) for the collective benefit of humanity in both this world and the hereafter.
Comrade Gambo also commended members of the Kano NUJ Council for their steadfast commitment to professional ethics and dedication to delivering factual, balanced, and timely reports.
He further prayed for continued peace, unity, and mutual understanding in Kano State, stressing that such values are essential for the progress and development of the state.

The Council also offered special prayers for Nigerian pilgrims currently performing Hajj in the Holy Land, wishing them a spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage and a safe return home.
