The Director General of the Kano State Centre for Disease Control (KNCDC), Prof. Muhammad Adamu Abbas, has extended warm felicitations to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the people of the state on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
In a statement issued on the festive occasion, Prof. Abbas described Eid Al-Adha as a period that embodies sacrifice, obedience, and compassion for humanity.

He prayed that Allah (SWT) accept the acts of worship and sacrifices of the faithful, while granting peace, good health, and unity to Kano State and Nigeria at large.
The KNCDC Director General commended Governor Yusuf for what he described as his unwavering commitment to strengthening the state’s health sector, particularly in the areas of disease prevention, early detection, and rapid response to public health threats.
He noted that the Governor’s leadership has continued to create an enabling environment for health institutions in the state to function effectively and deliver quality services to citizens.
Prof. Abbas also praised the efforts of the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, stating that the KNCDC remains fully committed to its mandate under the ministry’s strategic guidance.
He reaffirmed the Centre’s readiness to continue strengthening surveillance systems and enhancing preparedness to prevent, detect, and respond promptly to epidemic-prone diseases across the state.
