Sports entrepreneur and former Chairman of the Gombe State Athletics Association and Football Association, Hon. Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gombe, at the Emir’s palace.
The visit was aimed at expressing appreciation for the Emir’s leadership and formally presenting gifts to mark the occasion.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Gombe Emir’s Cup Football Competition, a new tournament designed to foster healthy competition among the Emirates and Chiefdoms in Gombe State.
The competition seeks to promote unity, cultural values, youth empowerment, football development, and solidarity among traditional institutions.
Hon. Gara Gombe, who is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Green White Green Sports Center Limited, further sponsors the establishment of a viewing center at the Emir’s palace, where football fans can watch major tournaments, including the AFCON matches, such as the Super Eagles’ clash with Morocco.
Known for his exceptional contributions to sports management and sponsorship in Gombe State, Hon. Gara Gombe continues to be a leading figure in the promotion of sports, a passion he shows no sign of slowing down.
