The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) says Saudi Arabia has declined Nigeria’s request for an increase in its 2027 Hajj allocation, leaving the country’s quota unchanged at 50,000 pilgrims. The Taraba State Ministry of Health has confirmed an outbreak of diphtheria following the identification of 14 suspected cases and one laboratory-confirmed case in Kungana, Suntai Ward of Bali Local Government Area.
