The governor also announced plans to establish a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in the area to strengthen security operations and prevent further attacks on residents.
Governor Idris made the announcements during a sympathy visit to the palace of the Chief of Wasagu following recent bandit attacks that affected communities in the area.
He further pledged ₦10 million monthly to support community-based internal security operations in Wasagu Chiefdom.
The governor also promised to address the rehabilitation of the township road in Danko Wasagu to improve accessibility, facilitate security operations and stimulate economic activities.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to collaborate with security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders to tackle insecurity across the area and the state.
According to him, protecting lives and property requires sustained cooperation among federal and state governments, security agencies and local communities.

Governor Idris explained that the proposed Forward Operating Base would strengthen the presence of security personnel, improve response times and enhance efforts to prevent further attacks in Wasagu and neighbouring communities.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Internal Security, Alhaji Haliru Aliyu Wasagu, commended the governor for prioritising security and providing logistical and operational support to security agencies across the state.
He recalled that insecurity had affected communities in the area for several years, forcing some farmers to abandon their farmlands and disrupting economic and social activities.
The commissioner, however, noted that government interventions had previously provided relief to residents before the recent resurgence of attacks. He added that the state government had continued to respond to security-related requests and implement measures to strengthen security operations.
In their separate remarks, the Chief of Wasagu Chiefdom, Alhaji Muktar Musa, and the Chairman of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area, Hon. Hussaini Aliyu Bena, thanked the governor for visiting the affected communities and outlining additional measures to address the security challenges.
They described the proposed security base, monthly security support and ₦100 million humanitarian assistance as important interventions to support affected families and restore peace.
