The Northwest All Progressive Congress (APC) ‘s Social Media Forum has appealed to Northerners not to participate in the planned nation wide protest against the current economic situation in the country.
The Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i-Gumel, stated this while briefing newsmen on Saturday in Kano.
He reminded northerners that protests can lead to violence, social unrest, and even military rule, citing examples of countries that have suffered due to protests.

“Protest leads to violence, social unrest, starvation, arson, loss of life, and internal war.
“Nigeria is the only place we can truly call our own. Give the government more time to fix everything,” Rufa’i-Gumel said.
Alhaji Ahmed expressed confidence in the government’s efforts to address the economic challenges, urging northerners to give them more time.
The chairman urged youths to desist from engaging in acts capable of disrupting activities and called on the government to accelerate social infrastructure development to alleviate hardship.”
