Kano state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Haruna Isah Dederi, has described the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as a reliable partner in crime fighting, control, and management.
Barr. Dederi disclosed this while receiving the newly deployed Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Shafiu Abdulmumini Dayi, on a courtesy call to his office.
He reiterated that the Ministry of Justice and the NSCDC share common goals in ensuring a clean and better society.
He stressed that, while the NSCDC fights crime, the Ministry prosecutes offenders, working together to achieve their shared objectives.
The Attorney General assured the state government’s readiness to support the NSCDC in discharging its duties effectively, recognizing the importance of Its role in maintaining security.
The state government will continue to provide the necessary support to the NSCDC, enabling it to continue its good work.
Earlier, the Commandant of the NSCDC, Shafi’u Dayi, explained that he was at the Ministry of Justice as part of a stakeholder familiarization visit and also to seek collaboration for the effective discharge of his duties.
Dayi said the NSCDC in Kano is committed to working with the Ministry of Justice to promote peace and security in the state.
