False Allegations and Unsubstantiated Claims on Live Broadcast Suspension by NBA President: Kano people Demand an Apology or Retraction to Restore Public Trust

The time for NBA to go back to drawing board:
The reported misinformation by the NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, regarding the suspension of live political broadcasts in Kano is indeed unfortunate and damaging to the association’s reputation.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), as a key stakeholder in upholding the rule of law and democratic principles, must maintain accuracy, transparency, and impartiality in its public statements especially on sensitive Public issues.
NBA President Misinformed On the suspension of Live Political Broadcast in Kano
For the NBA President to issue such a sweeping condemnation against the Kano State Government without verified facts, direct engagement, or even a formal inquiry is not only premature but scandalous to profession.
    Our Concerns:
However, I am therefore compelled to ask; Has the NBA reached out to the Kano State Government for clarification on this matter?
Did the NBA receive any official complaint from its Kano branch or media stakeholders within the state?
If none of the above was established, It is therefore, deeply disturbing for an association of its stature to issue such sensational and unfounded statements which is not only misleading and damaging to the integrity of this high esteemed body, but also dangerously reckless.
NBA , BPP Collaborate to Promote Transparency and Accountability
Why has the NBA remained mute on the rise of kidnappings and killings ravaging the people of Borno/ Yobe, also the banditry issues that have crippled Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara States, leading to the death of scores, displacement and economic collapse, why are they silence?
Therefore, it’s now proven the NBA president is selective in choosing which issue to address and ignore national emergencies while rushing to comment on unverified state level development.
Such a skewed and reactionary approach raises questions about the motives behind this approach.
It is clearly an attempt to undermine the Kano State people and rob them the peaceful coexistence they enjoyed.
It’s becoming clear that the NBA is becoming a platform to distract and usher a hidden plan, an act which we will never tolerate henceforth but will Legaly oppose same.
    Our Stand:
The NBA’s reputation hinges on its adherence to truth, justice, and democratic values. Missteps in high-profile matters like this must be promptly addressed to preserve its standing as Nigeria’s foremost legal institution.
And we therefore call the NBA President in strong term to never again poke-nose on issues that border with the interest of Kano people, which He Knew nothing about and also lacks merit to assumes the roles to speak on the interest of the Kano people.
The NBA must avoid partisan interpretations of legal and regulatory actions to maintain its integrity as an independent professional body.
Also the crops this leadership should ensure proper fact-checking before making public statements on contentious issues.
