The 57th Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), led by Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba, has commissioned a major student-focused facility, the Professor Haruna Musa Students’ Hub, at the Faculty of Engineering, New Campus.
The commissioning ceremony, attracted university principal officers, members of the academic community, SUG executives, and students.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, expressed appreciation for the honour and commended the students for initiating the project.
He encouraged students to make effective use of the Hub as a centre for learning, research, and academic collaboration.

The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Professor Ridwan Mukhtar Bunza, praised the 57th SUG administration for executing the project, assuring the university management that the facility would be properly maintained and strictly utilized for educational purposes.
Also speaking, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, represented by Dr. Gambo Haruna Yunusa, described the Students’ Hub as a timely and impactful intervention that would significantly enhance the academic environment for students within the faculty and beyond.

In his remarks, SUG President, Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba, thanked the university management for its continuous support and reaffirmed the Union’s commitment to promoting student welfare, despite the short tenure of the current administration.
The Professor Haruna Musa Students’ Hub is expected to serve as a dedicated space for academic engagement, collaboration, and intellectual development among students.
