The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Maimuna Isa Umar, mother of the Emir of Rano.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Monday, the Speaker described her passing as a devastating and irreplaceable loss.
Falgore noted that the late matriarch was a woman of discipline, integrity, and strong moral values whose positive influence extended beyond her immediate family to the entire emirate and society at large.
He stated that the Rano Emirate and Kano State have lost a woman of virtue and substance, adding that her demise is a collective loss to all.
> “It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that, on behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Rano, the Emirate Council, and the good people of Kano State,” Falgore said.
The Speaker also prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
“May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” he added.
