The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kaduna Area Command, has commissioned the SG Hassan Fitness Hub following the successful conclusion of an Inter-Agency Games aimed at promoting physical fitness, teamwork and stronger collaboration among security agencies in Kaduna State.
The sporting event, held on July 23, 2026, featured football, basketball, volleyball and badminton, bringing together personnel from the Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Police Force, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’ad Hassan, said the fitness hub was established to encourage regular exercise, recreation and healthy living among officers of the Command as well as personnel of other participating security agencies.
According to him, the facility will serve as a dedicated centre for physical training, wellness and recreation while helping to sustain the spirit of camaraderie fostered through the inter-agency sporting competition.
“The facility is designed to promote physical fitness, recreation and wellness. It will also provide a dedicated space for training and help sustain the gains of our inter-agency sporting engagements,” he said.
Representatives of the participating agencies commended the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that would further strengthen collaboration, promote healthy interaction and enhance operational synergy among security agencies in Kaduna State.
The event ended with the official unveiling of the SG Hassan Fitness Hub, reaffirming the participating agencies’ shared commitment to physical fitness, operational readiness and sustained inter-agency cooperation.
